Viva Connections is a digital workplace solution created by Microsoft that aims to improve employee engagement and communication within an organization. One of the key features of Viva Connections is the feed, which displays news and information relevant to the user. However, the content that is displayed in the feed is currently determined by the marketing executives at the user's company, which can lead to a lack of personalization and relevance for the end user.

The problems that users were experiencing with the Viva Connections feed included:

• Redundant and uninteresting content
• Irrelevant information
• Lack of control over what is displayed in the feed

To address these issues, I, designed a way for users to follow specific Yammer communities, people, and SharePoint sites. This allows users to customize their feeds by only seeing content that is relevant and interesting to them. This also gives them more control over what is displayed in their feed, providing a more personalized experience. I worked closely with the development team to integrate the ability to follow specific Yammer communities, people, and SharePoint sites into the Viva Connections feed. I also designed a user interface that made it easy for users to discover and follow the content that they were interested in.

Through user testing and feedback, I was able to validate that the new feature was successful in addressing the issues that users were facing with the Viva Connections feed. Users were able to find and follow content that was relevant to them, and as a result, they found the feed more engaging and useful. The deck below goes into more detail:
